STARIFIED is a hard-hitting, groove-driven power trio from Moscow who worship at the altar of powerful riffs, stirring melodies and a raw and dirty garage sound. The band claim influences as wide as Jack White, Led Zeppelin and Foo Fighters.

Solid and consistent rock album. However, there are not enough defining moments or variations in style (both vocally and instrumentally) to sustain my interest for long. I struggle to recognize the song I’m listening to because they all sound so much alike. That being said, though, the band does what they do well. I just wish there was a bit more creativity. The guitar solo in Crying of the Wolves is pretty cool. 6/10.

Progressive rockin doom, full of wicked melodies. Wasn't sure about it but Obsidian Sea really grew on me.

Quite easily one of the best things 2021 has given us yet. This is one of those albums I toss around with the pals and make them listen to it. Gives me the early 90s vibes. Accessible, yet still blatantly snarly enough to make the grade with the grimier stoner rock brethren. If you don't give this a try, you might be stonophobic.
